Essential Question
How important is it to Listen to our Preschoolers?
Summary:
This is a professional development that will display the importance of listening to students. The following shows how to model an aspect of documenting discussion. Read a story to your class; During discussion of the story, record the discussion of the little learners. I will use the discussion to present to Staff at a professional development workshop to show how important it is to allow little learners to think and how important it is to listen to their thoughts, allowing them to speak freely during discussions.

This is an activity that asks students to "retell" information. It gives children the opportunity to reflect, recall and communicate.
During Professional development it allows teachers to reflect on why listening to our little learners is important.
The recording(s) will be posted on you tube
Staff will be allowed to listen to or watch the recording of the students
Staff reflect and use PadLet to document what they reflected /or what was observed during the recording.
Personalization/Differentiation
Students will be able to choose the book and will be given the opportunity to take turns to reflect upon what was read.
Real-World Connection
What is the real world application for this project/lesson? the project will benefit both the students in allowing them to be free to communicate. It will also benefit the staff by reminding them of the importance of listening to our little learners. Remembering to engage them in learning. The initial target for this lesson is the students. The teachers will learn from the learners and understand how to incorporate 21CT learning in their classrooms.
Parents will be able to also listen to the little learners by subscribing to the schools YouTube Channel where it will be posted
Assessment:
By recording, it allows you to grasp an initial idea where the children's thought process is and how it matures, if applicable, over time.

Reflection:
The outcome of the lesson should benefit both the teacher and the students. This gives children that open time to speak freely about a subject i.e story, in this regards. It also give teachers the opportunity to remember that the children have a voice and should be allowed time to let their minds think and be heard. This lesson also opens up other apps to teachers, and allows them to learn interactively.
